Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Soooo, how old do you
have to be when you consider a song from 1980 to be a "new" one?
BONUS - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sodthxK1z44 - Entre Nous - Rush, 1980
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entre_Nous_%28song%29:
Entre Nous ("Between Us" in French) is the fourth track on the 1980s album Permanent Waves by progressive rock band Rush. It was also released as a single. The only live performances of the song to date occurred during the 2007 leg of the tour to promote Snakes & Arrows, an album released on May 1 of that year. It was then featured on the live album released on April 15, 2008.

From My Friend, Susan, of NC - 02/24/15:
“A pivotal spiritual
attribute is that of self-mastery—the strength to place reason over
appetite. Self-mastery builds a strong conscience. And your conscience
determines your moral responses in difficult, tempting, and trying
situations.”
-
Russell M. Nelson |
Thank you,
Susan!
Very profound. Too bad most of our
younger generation has missed the boat. Most are clueless of
our nation's history, nor do they even care. It's all about
the entitlements and what will you do for me now days. https://www.youtube.com/embed/eEs4ke7cdNQ?feature=player_detailpage%22

The driver replied, "Officer, there is no way I could have been going 60 miles an hour!" The policeman said, "Really! Why is that?" The driver answered, "I could not have been going 60 miles an hour because I've only been out driving for 25 minutes."

Music composed by Alex Lifeson (b. 27 Aug 1953) and Geddy Lee (b. 29 July 1953)
Recorded by
Rush,
1980
We are secrets
to each other
Each one's life a novel
No-one else has read
Even joined in bonds of love
We're linked to one another
By such slender threads
We are planets to each other
Drifting in our orbits
To a brief eclipse
Each of us a world apart
Alone and yet together
Like two passing ships
Just between us
I think it's time for us to recognize
the differences we sometimes feared to show
Just between us
I think it's time for us to realize
The spaces in between
Leave room
For you and I to grow
We are strangers to each other
Full of sliding panels
An illusion show
Acting well-rehearsed routines
Or playing from the heart?
It's hard for one to know
Just between us
I think it's time for us to recognize
the differences we sometimes feared to show
Just between us
I think it's time for us to realize
The spaces in between
Leave room
For you and I to grow
We are islands to each other
Building hopeful bridges
On the troubled seas
Some are burned and swept away
Some we would not choose
But we're not always free
Just between us
I think it's time for us to recognize
the differences we sometimes feared to show
Just between us
I think it's time for us to realize
The spaces in between
Leave room
For you and I to grow
