Momma, I'm so proud of how strong you were with all the pain you have been through these last few mouths. You are now pain free and reunited with Dad and all the loved ones we have lost in the past. You will be dearly missed but kept deep in my hart. I love you, Momma, R.I.P Martha Ann Sorrells 9/22/50 - 2/18/15

I couldn't believe it when I found she has passed. The last 4 years we had talked on the phone some days all day. We had some wonderful conversations. To think of her brings a smile to my face. I know the last few months she put up a great fight. She will be missed; I know she loved Roy, Jennifer, Steven, and CJ meant the world to her. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know they are all in heaven having some great conversations and the coffee is overflowing.

Nearer, My God, to Thee

Words by Sarah Flower Adams (22 Feb 1805 - 14 Aug 1848), based loosely on Genesis 28:1119,[1], 1841
Music (Bethany) by
Lowell Mason (08 Jan 1792 11 Aug 1872), 1856

Nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
E'en though it be a cross that raiseth me,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Though like the wanderer, the sun gone down,
darkness be over me, my rest a stone;
yet in my dreams I'd be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

There let the way appear, steps unto heaven;
all that thou sendest me, in mercy given;
angels to beckon me
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Then, with my waking thoughts bright with thy praise,
out of my stony griefs Bethel I'll raise;
so by my woes to be
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!

Or if, on joyful wing cleaving the sky,
sun, moon, and stars forgot, upward I fly,
still all my song shall be,
nearer, my God, to thee;
nearer, my God, to thee, nearer to thee!
