Dear Carol,
I know you are very
busy all the time and may not have noticed that Mary Ramsey
Dickerson '68, lost her father on 2/4/11 (Daily Press 2/8/11)...
I know that you can not
see everything -- I really do not know how you do as much as you
do. You keep all the Typhoon Nation together!!

Thank you so much,
Elizabeth. I read this twice and still did not recognize what I
was seeing. |

George P. Ramsey |

HAMPTON - George P. Ramsey, 89, passed away Feb. 4, 2011, in Hampton,
Va. A native of Madison County, N.C., he was a longtime Peninsula resident. He was a retired agent of Life Insurance Company of Georgia, where he received numerous awards. He was a loyal member of the Church of God. He was also an avid Model A enthusiast. George was a larger than life force not only in character but in stature, that helped to shape his children as people and taught them the important things in life. No child could ask for a kinder and more loving daddy. Although this is a loss to all of us on earth, we know he is up in heaven rejoicing and will always be watching over us. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, John and Melissa Ramsey; five sisters; and a daughter, Mickie Cook. |

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee,
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and pow'r.
Not the labors of my hands
Can fulfill Thy law's demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears forever flow,
All for sin could not atone;
Thou must save, and Thou alone.
Nothing in my hand I bring,
Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked come, come to Thee for dress;
Helpless, look to Thee for grace;
Foul, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Savior, or I die!
While I draw this fleeting breath,
When mine eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to Thee for dress;
Helpless, look to Thee for grace;
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.
