Although I did not have the pleasure of knowing George Ilish personally, I, being a member of Liberty Baptist Church myself, am his sister-in-Christ. (I am a member of Linda Taylor's Koninia Women's Bible Study Group). From reading his obituary I see that many will miss his daily contributions to making our world a better place. My thoughts and prayers are with his family now. I pray they will remain strong in the Lord and know that "absent from the flesh means present with the Lord" is true especially in George's case. The world will surely miss him, but we will see him again one day in Heaven.

I knew him as "Bubba" long before Bubba was a popular nickname.

I I remember Mr. Ilish growing up. He was good friends with my father Perry Ward. I remember his cutting my dad's hair. Making him laugh on several occasions. Riding with my dad over to watch Mr. Ilish do woodworking. He made a cradle for my sister and me for our first born. Later he made bunk beds for my two girls. I remember his being so gentle and friendly and such a funny little laugh. He is such as wonderful man and will be missed terribly.
p.s. Dear George, if you see my father in heaven, tell him we all miss him so much.

Our sincerest sympathies are extended to the entire Ilich-Ilish family at this time.
