Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
Today's theme is prompted by the prevailing state of my mind for the past couple of
months.....

BONUS #2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lkb1R_yif9I - Dazed and Confused - Led Zeppelin, Supershow, 1969
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazed_and_Confused_%28song%29:
"Dazed and Confused" is a song originally written
and performed by
Jake Holmes. It was covered by
the Yardbirds, and later reworked by
Led Zeppelin who hold a separate copyright on the song.[1] Singer-songwriter Jake Holmes wrote and recorded "Dazed and Confused" for his debut solo album "The Above Ground Sound" of Jake Holmes, released in June 1967. Like the other tracks on the album, the song does not include any drums. It was recorded entirely with the trio of Holmes on guitar, keyboard and vocals, Ted Irwin on guitar and Rick Randle on bass.[2][3] The song has been incorrectly labelled as a tale about a bad acid trip. Holmes himself has confirmed that this is not the case. In 2001 he gave an interview to Shindig! magazine and said this about "Dazed and Confused":
In June 2010, Jake Holmes sued Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page for copyright infringement, claiming to have written and recorded "Dazed and Confused" two years before it appeared on Led Zeppelin's debut album. In court documents Holmes cited a 1967 copyright registration for "Dazed and Confused" which was renewed in 1995.[5] This court case (Case No. CV10-4789-DMG-PJW) was "dismissed with prejudice", presumably because the parties settled out of court—in January 2012.[6] ..... The song is included in The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. |

VALENTINE CROCHET PATTERN (Wal, you wouldn't want a confusing pattern, would
ja?
):
http://www.redheart.com/free-patterns/tree-hearts - Linda Cyr's Tree Hearts - This was one of my favorite, most adaptable patterns from a while back; I also featured it here: | ||

It's quite pretty made with worsted
weight yarn, but when worked with two strands of #10 crochet thread held
together using a size B crochet hook, it creates a very elegant heart -
and as suitable for Valentine's Day as for Christmas!
The design works up quickly. It takes me about an hour a heart - and I am a super-slow crocheter (despite 58 years of practice)! I used 1/4" white ribbon to trim these smaller versions, which are about 2'' high and 3" wide. |

From http://www.ajokeaday.com - 02/01/16:Two guys were walking down the street when a mugger approached them and demanded their money. They both grudgingly pulled out their wallets and began taking out their cash. Just then one guy turned to the other and handed him a bill. "Here’s that $20.00 I owe you," he said. |
