BONUS GROUNDHOG CROCHET PATTERNS:
http://www.freshstitches.com/groundhog/ -
Stacey's Phil the Groundhog - "Will the
groundhog see his shadow this Groundhog Day? Find out by crocheting your
own adorable Phil! Phil measures 6″ tall when completed with worsted
weight yarn." - Okay, not free; the pattern
costs $5.00, but it's very cute! http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/product_view/planetjune/972319/groundhog_woodchuck__marmot_amigurumi_crochet_pattern/design/patterns/crochet/toys - June Gilbank's Groundhog woodchuck, marmot amigurumi - "In the grand tradition of Punxsutawney Phil, Wiarton Willie, Shubenacadie Sam, and the other famous Groundhog weather forecasters, will your groundhog see his shadow on February 2nd (Groundhog Day), or will we have an early spring this year? ... approx 6.5″ tall" - Once again, not free; this pattern also costs $5.00, and it's more realistic! http://www.repeatcrafterme.com/2013/01/groundhog-crochet-applique-pattern.html - Sarah's Groundhog Crochet Appliqué Pattern - "... in celebration of Groundhogs Day, I made up a little groundhog appliqué. I call him Punxsutawney Phil! Although I think he might make a better beaver or gopher. Either way, I am sure you can all find a use for him :)" |
BONUS CHOPPED PORK RECIPES (Get it? "Ground Hog?"):
http://www.chow.com/recipes/30356-easy-slow-cooker-pulled-pork - Christine Gallary's Easy Slow-Cooker Pulled Pork - "The whole point of using a slow cooker is to get the ingredients into the cooker quickly and then be able to walk away. For this easy pulled pork recipe, just coat the pork shoulder with a spice rub of dark brown sugar, chili powder, cumin, and cinnamon, then cook it on a bed of garlic and onions covered with chicken broth..."
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-shredded-pork/ - Easy Shredded Pork - "This is an excellent dish for backyard parties, Super Bowl (or any sports) parties and get-togethers. Serve with rolls or French or Italian bread. Goes great with corn on the cob."
http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/easy-crockpot-pulled-pork-recipe/ - Easy Crockpot Pulled Pork - "...It’s simple, delicious, and most importantly can be slow cooked all day in the crockpot which requires very little effort. It gets a glorious rub down of brown sugar, paprika and other spices before being cooked in a tangy cider vinegar sauce. After about 10 hours in the crock pot, you’re left with incredibly tender, succulent, and flavorful pork...."
FINALLY:
From http://www.ajokeaday.com - 02/01/14:Did you hear about the farmer who wanted to buy a thousand hens, but didn't have the money...so...He put them on a layaway plan! |

Standing in the Shadows of Love Written by Holland–Dozier–Holland: (b. 15 Feb 1941), Lamont Dozier (b. 16 June 1941), and Edward Holland, Jr. (b. 30 Oct 1939) Recorded by The Four Tops , 1966Standing in the shadows of love Waitin' for the heartaches to come Can't you see me standing in the shadows of love I'm getting ready for the heartaches to come I'd run but there's no where to go 'Cause heartaches will follow me I know Without your love, the love I need It's the beginning of the end for me 'Cause you've taken away all me reasons for livin' When you pushed aside all the love I've been giving Now wait a minute Didn't I teach you right, didn't I? Didn't I do the best I could, didn't I? So don't you leave me standin' in the shadow of love I'm gettin' ready for the heartaches to come Don't you see me standing in the shadow of love Just tryin' my best to get ready for the heartaches to come All alone I'll desperately be With misery my only company Come today, in fact come tomorrow Sorrow, I ain't got nothin' but sorrow Don't your conscience bother you How can you watch me cry after all I've done for you Now hold a minute Gave you all the love I had, didn't I? When you needed me I was there, now wasn't I? (Standing in the shadows of love Gettin' ready for the heartaches to come) I've tried not to cry out loud No gal you ain't gonna help me now What did I do to cause all this grief Now what'd I say to make you want to leave Now wait a minute I gave my heart and soul to you, didn't I? Now didn't I always treat you good, didn't I? I'm Standing in the shadows of love I'm gettin' ready for the heartaches to come Hope to see you standing in the shadows of love Tryin' my best to get ready for the heartaches to come Standing in the shadows of...
