Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
We have a tragic edition of the NNHS Newsletter tonight, so much so that though
I read the obituary twice, I refused to believe what I saw until I was prompted.
Keith Pride, one of the twin sons of Patsy Floyd Pride ('62) of VA, passed away
suddenly at home in Virginia Beach on Monday, January 26, 2009 at the age of 41.

VIRGINIA BEACH - Joseph Keith Pride, 41, of Virginia Beach died suddenly in
his home on Monday, Jan. 26, 2009. He suffered heart failure as a result of hypertension disease. Keith worked in the HVAC industry in Virginia Beach for over 20 years. He loved his family, his dogs, surfing, soccer, the Dallas Cowboys, fishing, his Jeep Wrangler and Trane equipment. Of all things in his life, he was most proud of his son, Alex. Keith is survived by his wife, and love of 18 years, Shannon; his son, Alex, 15; his parents Bob and Pat Pride of Poquoson; his twin brother, Kevin and his younger brother, Rob, both of Newport News. |

Keith's family welcomes his friends to a visitation and service on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Peninsula Funeral Home, 11144 Warwick Blvd., Newport News. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. and the service will be at 5 p.m. Immediately following the service, there will be a reception in celebration of his life at Hope Community Church, on Harpersville Road, across from the funeral home. Towne Bank, Shannon's employer, has set up a memorial fund. The family asks that friends consider donations to this fund in lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy. Donations can be sent to the Keith Pride Memorial Fund c/o Aubrey Barnard, Towne Bank, 2101 Parks Ave., Suite 200, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
