Dear Friends and Schoolmates,
There is yet more sad news this Monday morning. Dorothy Reed Satisky Conn, mother of Frona Conn Greenspun ('5_) of MD and of Betty Conn Kornblum ('58) of NJ, passed away in Newport News on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at the age of 97.

NEWPORT NEWS - Dorothy Reed (Satisky)
Conn, 97, beloved wife of the late Allen S. Conn, passed away peacefully
Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008. Born and raised in Baltimore, Md., she married in 1933, and moved to Newport News. Mrs. Conn was active in the Red Cross during the war years and was also associated with many Jewish organizations. She was a member of Rodef Sholom Temple. Mrs. Conn is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Frona and Gordon Greenspun of Owings Mills, Md., and Betty and Stanley Kornblum of Monroe Township, N.J. Mrs. Conn is also survived by grandchildren, Michael and Carol Greenspun, Minna and Rob Pomeroy, Jeffrey and Sandi Kornblum, and David and Nicole Kornblum, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Rodef Sholom Temple. Interment will be in The Jewish Cemetery of the Virginia Peninsula. Contributions may be made to Rodef Sholom Temple, 318 Whealton Road, Hampton, VA 23666, or National Council of Jewish Women Sick Loan Shelf.
