Charles Embler Obituary":
Carol,
I knew Charley from NNHS and for several years when we attended VA Tech... My wife and I visited Charley at his Hampton residence in 2012 while on a trip to NN. We also went by to see Ken Taylor, another of your classmates. Kenny and I grew up together on Decatur Street in NN. We both attended Briarfield ES, as did Charley...

I was so sorry to hear of Charlie's passing. You may remember we were in high school together. I always enjoyed seeing him at the various realtor events we attended a few years ago and he would invite me by the house in Grandview. I regret that I never went, as he was such a great guy. Just looking at the pictures on the website, it seems that he really embraced and enjoyed his retirement in Florida. I am shocked and saddened, and my prayers are held close for you and your family. Please take care. Rick Harman January 13, 2018 January 14, 2018 T January 14, 2018 I January 14, 2018

Trust and Obey
Lyrics by John H. Sammis, 1887
Music by Daniel B. Towner
When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy with Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can rise,
Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear,
Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide if we trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy with Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Not a burden we bear,
Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss,
Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy with Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows,
For the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy with Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet.
Or we'll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do,
Where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.
Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy with Jesus,
But to trust and obey.
