We meet a lot of people during our lives on earth. Some come into your life and make an impact, an impression, an effect and love you no matter what, THESE ARE CALLED FRIENDS!
Faye was this kind of lady. A friend. A giver. She added LIFE to any party, to any circumstance. Positive, uplifting, motivating, influencing agent are just a few words to describe this lady. But the best word to define her is FRIEND.
Always laughing, always positive, never moody, and always a giver. The world just got a little dimmer without Faye being the radiant light she always was.

When we started the Baseball Program at Stratford, your mom instantly became a part of the family. She loved to see you coach and loved to see the kids play. Even after I was no longer there, she was the first one to greet me when I would show up to a game. I am sorry for your loss and please know that the Sawyer family is keeping all of you in our prayers.

When I first met Faye at Cypress Creek Nazarene Church, I was immediately taken by what I can best call "spiritual energy." She was truly a beacon of the grace of Jesus! We didn't know each other well at the time, but I was left with the inescapable knowledge that she had prayed for me, and that my life was affected. If Faye prayed for you, you were blessed - no question.

Nanny Faye,

You've left your mark on this world as only I can dream to. You inspired my relationship with Jesus and spread light and love. You showed me what it means to be a true follower of Christ. I love you dearly, and will see you again soon. I remember when you used to bring me a silver dollar from work for my birthday. You always made me feel so special. I still have them. I do believe that right now God Almighty is saying, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

I will miss the hugs that Miss Faye gave me every time she came to Walgreen's. She was always in good spirits, and was a pleasure to talk to.

Going Home

Music -
Antonín Dvořák's Symphony No. 9 (popularly known as the New World Symphony), 1893
(08 Sept 1841 – 01 May 1904)

Lyrics added by Dvořák's pupil, William Arms Fisher

Going home, going home
I'm just going home
Quiet light, some still day
I'm just going home
It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Going to fear no more
Mother's there expecting me
Father's waiting, too
Lots of folk gathered there
All the friends I knew
All the friends I knew
I'm going home
Nothing's lost, all's gain
No more fret nor pain
No more stumbling on the way
No more longing for the day
Going to roam no more
Morning star lights the way
Restless dream all done
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life begun
There's no break, there's no end
Just a living on
Wide awake with a smile
Going on and on
Going home, going home
I'm just going home
It's not far, just close by
Through an open door
I am going home
I'm just going home
Going home, going home
