bridge of a destroyer.

I'm not a violent person but.......this doesn't sound too terribly bad. I'm diabetic, my knees are bad and I wear glasses. Just make sure my cell is warm and has a big flat screen and a computer!!!!!
Maxine's Perfect Solution to Senior Health Care
Here is the solution:
While discussing the
upcoming Universal Health Care Program with my sister-in-law the other day,
I think we have found the solution. I am sure you have heard the ideas that
if you're a senior you need to suck it up and give up the idea that you need
any health care. A new hip? Unheard of. We simply can't afford to take care
of you anymore. You don't need any medications for your high blood pressure,
diabetes, heart problems, etc. Let's take care of the young people. After
all, they will be ruling the world very soon.
So here is the solution. When you turn 70, you get a gun and three bullets.
You are allowed to shoot one senator and two representatives. Of course, you
will be sent to prison where you will get three meals a day, a roof over
your head and all the health care you need! New teeth, great! Need glasses,
no problem! New hip, knee, kidney, lung, heart? Well, bring it on. And who
will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that
you are too old for health care. And, since you are a prisoner, you don't
have to pay any income tax.
WILD GIGGLES!
"Not too shabby!" Thanks, Joyce!

From Norris Perry (Warwick HS - '59) of VA - 01/04/10 - "Tips For Surviving 2010":
Ten Great Tips For Surviving 2010
1. Stay out of trouble.
2. Aim for greater heights.
3. Stay focused on your job.
4. Exercise to maintain good health.
5. Practice team work.
6. Rely on your trusted partner to watch your back. Take your time trusting
others.
7. Save for rainy days.
8. Rest and relax.
9. Always take time to smile.
AND
10. Realize that nothing is impossible.
This should make you smile:
THE SENILITY PRAYER:
Grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
The good fortune to run into the ones I do, and
The eyesight to tell the difference.
Now, I think you're supposed to share this with 5 or 6, maybe 10 others. Oh
heck, give it to a bunch of your friends if you can remember who they are!
Always Remember This:
You don't stop laughing because you grow old,
You grow old because you stop laughing!!!
GIGGLES!
Thanks, Norris!
Hi Carol,
Sincere wishes to you and your family to have a Happy and Healthy New
Year 2010. Thank you, for all you do to keep
NNHS memories alive. Bobby, even knowing you for the extraordinarily generous man that you are, you have the power every now and then to completely take my breath away! I sent your note to Eddie, as I think he knows the fastest route to Freddie. Thank you so much! ![]() |

01/04/10 - "Humorous Words Of Wisdom....":
Humorous Words Of Wisdom Sometimes, when I look at my children, I say to myself, 'Lillian, you should have remained a virgin.' ~~ Lillian Carter (mother of Jimmy Carter) I had a rose named after me and I was very flattered. But I was not pleased to read the description in the catalogue: - 'No good in a bed, but fine against a wall.' ~~ Eleanor Roosevelt Last week, I stated this woman was the ugliest woman I had ever seen. I have since been visited by her sister, and now wish to withdraw that statement. ~~ Mark Twain The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending; and to have the two as close together as possible. ~~ George Burns Santa Claus has the right idea. Visit people only once a year. ~~ Victor Borge Be careful about reading health books. You may die of a misprint. ~~ Mark Twain By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher. ~~ Socrates I was married by a judge. I should have asked for a jury. ~~ Grouch Marx My wife has a slight impediment in her speech. Every now and then she stops to breathe. ~~ Jimmy Durante I have never hated a man enough to give his diamonds back. ~~ Zsa Zsa Gabor Only Irish coffee provides in a single glass all four essential food groups: alcohol, caffeine, sugar and fat. ~~ Alex Levine My luck is so bad that if I bought a cemetery, people would stop dying. ~~ Rodney Dangerfield Money can't buy you happiness ... But it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery. ~~ Spike Milligan Until I was thirteen, I thought my name was SHUT UP. ~~ Joe Namath I don't feel old.. I don't feel anything until noon. Then it's time for my nap. ~~ Bob Hope I never drink water because of the disgusting things that fish do in it. ~~ W.C. Fields We could certainly slow the aging process down if it had to work its way through Congress. ~~ Will Rogers Don't worry about avoiding temptation. As you grow older, it will avoid you. ~~ Winston Churchill Maybe it's true that life begins at fifty .. But everything else starts to wear out, fall out, or spread out. ~~ Phyllis Diller By the time a man is wise enough to watch his step, he's too old to go anywhere. ~~ Billy Crystal And the cardiologist's diet: If it tastes good spit it out. ~~ Unknown |

George!

Rest Home
Aunt Mary, a spinster of 92, had finally consented to go to a rest home, but
strictly on a two-week-trial basis. Consequently, she took a small overnight
case with only the bare essentials.
A couple of days later her niece was surprised to get a phone call from her
demanding more clothes.
"Please bring me that good black silk, my lavender print, the brown wool..." and
she went on and on. Finally after a brief questioning from her niece, Aunt Mary
expostulated:
"There are MEN in this place!"

(b. 11 Mar 1945)
If you love me like you tell me
Please be careful with my heart
You can take it just don't break it
Or my world will fall apart
You are my first romance
And I'm willing to take a chance
That till life is through
I'll still be loving you
I will be true to you
Just a promise from you will do
From the very start
Please be careful with my heart
I love you and you know I do
There'll be no one else for me
Promise I'll be always true
For the world and all to see
Love has heard some lies softly spoken
And I have had my heart badly broken
I've been burned and I've been hurt before
So I know just how you feel
Trust my love is real for you
I'll be gentle with your heart
I'll caress it like the morning dew
I'll be right beside you forever
I won't let our world fall apart
From the very start I'll be careful with your heart
